Keep The Fog On The Mountain, Not On Your Ski Goggles
There are many different types of eyes and noses in the world, and just about as many different types of ski goggles. From wrap around sunglasses to old school large lenses, skiers have their choice of styles and designs. Unfortunately, foggy goggles can be a problem across the board. Many manufacturers are trying to address this concern with vent systems or double lenses, but there may be an easier solution.
Did you know that a thin film of natural soap will prevent fog from forming on your lenses? Simply dampen a soft cloth or your finger, rub a small amount of soap on the lenses, let dry, and wipe off with a dry cloth or tissue. Your lenses will look the same, but your breath will not condense on them. This is a handy solution, which is also a huge penny saver. If you currently use costly anti-fog sprays, give this a try. The effect will last until you clean your goggles, or for a couple of weeks. If you do not have soap handy, toothpaste will also do the trick. Using toothpaste is a bit more risky, as some toothpastes may scratch.
